Learning and development is all about growing as an individual.

Learning and development will help you do your job better, expand your knowledge and increase your confidence, all of which will help you to deliver better care and have greater job satisfaction.

The right learning will allow you to be more flexible and adaptable and therefore continue your career journey with greater ease. There are a number of opportunities that regardless of which health and social care organisation you work for, you can make the most of.

These opportunities will continue to grow so please do come back to see the latest updates (or sign up to our mailing list to receive direct updates and news). Information on organisational specific opportunities is also available through these pages.

Coaching skills

For colleagues in the voluntary sector and/or from an ethnic minority

An opportunity has come up across West Yorkshire and Harrogate to provide train-the-trainer development sessions in “Better Conversations for Better Care”.  We are particularly interested in getting interest from colleagues working in the voluntary sector or from colleagues from different ethnic minority communities.  Growing evidence suggests effective coaching skills contribute to personal well-being, innovation, care outcomes, team working and leadership effectiveness.

We would love to hear from you if you are interested in coaching, want to develop your coaching skills or just want to share your perspective. Please get in touch by emailing bdcccg.wyh.mentalwellbeinghub@nhs.net with your name, role, organisation, interest in coaching and how you would like to get involved by 7 June 2021.
