Skills Month is an opportunity in October for students in the Bradford District to explore careers across a range of different sectors. This is the first year that Health & Social Care are participating.

The career’s fair will be open to secondary school and further education students from across the district to explore career opportunities in the Health & Social Care sector. The event will allow young people to learn about career options directly from employers and professionals. In addition, the career’s fair will showcase the educational pathways and explain the skills needed to pursue different careers in the sector. A MediTech Expo will also feature at the event.

We are hoping to create an experience that will help inform young people’s careers choices. This is a great opportunity to inspire the Health & Social Care staff of tomorrow! We hope you will join us at the career’s fair.

The event will promote a range of careers linked to labour market shortages. Job areas featured will include:
• Mental Health
• Social Care
• Nursing
• Midwifery
•Occupational Therapy
• Pharmacy
• Medical Technology
• And many more…

This is an offer from the Bradford Careers & Technical Education team (part of SkillsHouse) and Future Technologies Centre team.
