Supporting YOU during the Menopause
Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Workforce
Supporting Staff Through the Menopause
Following the success of the sessions we ran for World Menopause Day in October 2021, Hälsa Wellbeing (www.halsawellbeing.co.uk) will be running a 6-month programme to support and educate staff on the Menopause Transition. These sessions aim to provide a better understanding of what the Menopause transition is and really focus on practical ways of coping through this period of life.
Who is this for?
You don’t have to be Menopausal to join these sessions! You may wish to support a colleague or a family member. You may be a line manager and know nothing about the Menopause and wish to educate yourself. You may also be from a clinical background and want to educate yourself so you can offer more support to your patients. Whatever your background, you will get a chance to hear from women facing similar challenges and frustrations and what practical solutions can help.
What happens if I miss a session?
After the sessions, all our content will be added to your Resources which you can access at any time. We will also be setting up a Facebook group so the discussions can continue outside of these sessions.

What did other people say?
“Great session. Great content. Very informative. Looking forward to putting all this into practice. Thank you so much for all the support.”
“Really amazing discussion, questions and input.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed the session and the print out will be a useful tool which I will put to good use. It was a nice way to take some time out and I think that it is important, the menopause can be very debilitating when you are working and not always appreciated. I will be recommending this to some of my colleagues.”
“Thank you so much Emma and to everyone for sharing – definitely got some valuable tips”
“I am a younger lady and have found this really useful. I myself suffer with PMT and I feel everything you have spoken about will help me also and also to look after my patients more holistically :). I also have a knowledge of what my colleagues are going through and my family.”
“Reflexology, gave me the knowledge and skills to use the techniques, it worked, I felt the release straight away, was powerful in allowing me to release emotions. The mediations were excellent”
“Sleep and menopause, learnt some new ideas to try out, was reassuring to know its normal to not get 8 hrs sleep and some things I can do to try and help my routine”
“To realise you are not alone and that what I am going through is normal after sharing our experiences was so refreshing and I would love to catch regularly with the same group in future”
“All the sessions had useful information. The nutrition & menopause was really helpful for me as I’ve had Breast Cancer so I cannot use HRT. Emma was most helpful and sent me some tailored information/suggestions. These sessions have opened up a dialogue among my colleagues and raised awareness about menopause which can only make it easier to understand and support each other in future.”
